March 25th-29th

Language Arts: Our theme this week is Watching Animals Grow. We will be learning about summarizing a story and sequence of events.

Spelling Words: spoil, coin, join, joy, toy, boy, town, mouse, eyes, & enough.

Sentence: The boy can join the club.

Sight Words: air, enough, eyes, learn, open

Vocabulary: mature, newborn, process, remain, slender, cub, & wild.

Math: We are learning about how to add and distribute equal groups. We are also working with counting by 2's and 5's.

March 5th-9th

Language Arts: Our theme this week focuses on all kinds of weather. We will be reading and writing about different types of weather. We will also be learning about synonyms and antonyms and how to use a venn diagram.

Spelling: born, cork, horn, corn, fork, pork, barn, arm, know, & great.

Sentence: I tore my shirt on a branch!

Sight Words: great, know, sound, their, & warm.

Vocabulary Words: breeze, commotion, conditions, forecast, tranquil, predict, & extreme.

Math: We are finishing up Topic 10. We will be taking our math test on Thursday. Please work with your child at home naming coins and their amounts and counting up random amounts of coins up to 99 cents.
