Language Arts: This week we our theme is all about what Scientists do. We will be reading and writing about a variety of different Scientists.

Spelling: cart, barn, arm, art, yarn, harm, her, dirt, would, & house.

Sentence: How far is the park from here?

Sight Words: grew, house, knew & would.

Vocabulary Words: career, curious, fascinating, improve, & investigate.

Math: We are continuing to work on solving a variety of addition and subtraction problems.

* There will be no rotations this week due to SEP's.

February 20th-24th

Language Arts: Our theme this week is all about outer space! We will be doing some really fun writing activities to go along with our space theme! We will also be learning about adjectives, cause and effect in stories and what a biography is.

Spelling: her, bird, fur, fern, dirt, burn, funny, penny, full, & through

Sentence: The girl got hurt when she fell.

Sight Words: another, climbed, full, poor, & through.

Vocabulary Words: discover, dusk, mysterious, pale, & scatter.

Math: We are learning about missing addends in addition and subtraction sentences.

February 13th-17th

Language Arts: This is review week in Treasures. We are going over everything we have learned over the past 5 weeks and will be taking our Unit Assessment on Thursday.

Spelling (sight word review): walked, eight, give, write, move, better, never, should, night, because, & or. Sentence: You should be my friend.

Math: We are taking our Topic 8 math test on Monday. We will be starting our next math topic on Tuesday, which focuses on addition and subtraction, money, and ordering numbers from least to greatest.

February 6th-10th

Language Arts: This week we are learning all about different Animal Teams. We will be focusing on retelling stories, as well as learning about contractions and adverbs.

Spelling: bumpy, puppy, funny, penny, sandy, bunny, or, & because.

Sight Words: also, blue, because, or, other, & until.

Vocabulary Words: behavior, group, plead, soar, vivid, beautiful, & danger.

Math: We will continue to learn how to add and subtract using a number line. We will also work on solving story problems. We will be testing Topic 8 next Monday.
