Language Arts: Our theme this week is "Cool Jobs." We will be learning about pronouns and how to properly use commas in our writing.

Language Arts: Our theme this week is Watching Animals Grow. We will be learning about summarizing a story and sequence of events.

Language Arts: Our theme this week focuses on all kinds of weather. We will be reading and writing about different types of weather. We will also be learning about synonyms and antonyms and how to use a venn diagram.

Sentence: I tore my shirt on a branch!

Math: We are finishing up Topic 10. We will be taking our math test on Thursday. Please work with your child at home naming coins and their amounts and counting up random amounts of coins up to 99 cents.

Language Arts: This is review week in Treasures. We are going over everything we have learned over the past 5 weeks and will be taking our Unit Assessment on Thursday.

Spelling (sight word review): walked, eight, give, write, move, better, never, should, night, because, & or. Sentence: You should be my friend.

Math: We are taking our Topic 8 math test on Monday. We will be starting our next math topic on Tuesday, which focuses on addition and subtraction, money, and ordering numbers from least to greatest.

Language Arts: This week we are discussing what it means to be part of a team. We will be working on asking questions while we read and making and confirming predictions.

Math: We are learning about measurement and geometry. Last week we learned about 2D and 3D shapes. This week we will continue learning about shapes and introduce using the balance scale and learning about capacity of containers.
