November 28th-December 2nd

Language Arts: The theme for this week is "Family Fun" We will be talking, reading, and writing about what we do for fun with our families.

Spelling: like, spike, ride, hide, bike, mine, make, came, how, & there.

Sight Words: call, funny, how, more, so, & there.

Oral Vocabulary Words: connections, possessions, relief, support, & typical.

Math: We are finishing up Topic 5, which focuses on addition and subtraction. This week we will be working with turn around facts and fact families. We will be having our Topic 5 math test on Friday!

Rotations: We are starting our Christmas around the world rotations. Each student will be making a scrapbook which will include everything they learn about how Christmas is celebrated in different countries.

November 14th-18th

Language Arts: Our theme for this week is "Let's Laugh!" We will be reading and writing silly stories all week. We are focuing on retelling stories, verbs, and exlimation points.

Spelling: make, take, came, game, gate, late, why & school.

Sight Words: away, school, today, way, & why.

Vocabulary Words: amused, delighted, humurous, mood, & ridiculous.

Math: We are learning about turn around addition facts and fact families.

Take Home Books: There will not be any take home books this week or next week. Please continue having your child read to you at home every night!

Rotations: Because of the early out days this whole week there are no rotations.

SEP Conferences: I look forward to meeting with each of you this week!

November 7th-11th

Language Arts: This week is testing week in Treasures. We will be reviewing important concepts that we have learned over the past five weeks and will be taking our Unit 2 Treasures Assessment on Thursday.

Spelling: Every 6 weeks will be a testing week. Therefore our spelling words will be sight word review. This weeks words are: no, let, many, one, they, our, could, all, want, & some.

Math: We just finished up Topic 4. We are now starting Topic 5, which focuses on building addition and subtraction.

Rotations: There are no rotations this week due to testing.
