Language Arts: Our theme this week is "Cool Jobs." We will be learning about pronouns and how to properly use commas in our writing.

Language Arts: The theme for this week is "I Can Do It!" We will be talking about Pronouns, Capitalizing "I", and making Inferences.

Language Arts: Our theme this week is Watching Animals Grow. We will be learning about summarizing a story and sequence of events.

March 5th-9th

Language Arts: Our theme this week focuses on all kinds of weather. We will be reading and writing about different types of weather. We will also be learning about synonyms and antonyms and how to use a venn diagram.

Sentence: I tore my shirt on a branch!

Sight Words: great, know, sound, their, & warm.

Vocabulary Words: breeze, commotion, conditions, forecast, tranquil, predict, & extreme.

Math: We are finishing up Topic 10. We will be taking our math test on Thursday. Please work with your child at home naming coins and their amounts and counting up random amounts of coins up to 99 cents.

Language Arts: This week we our theme is all about what Scientists do. We will be reading and writing about a variety of different Scientists.

Vocabulary Words: career, curious, fascinating, improve, & investigate.

Math: We are continuing to work on solving a variety of addition and subtraction problems.

Language Arts: Our theme this week is all about outer space! We will be doing some really fun writing activities to go along with our space theme! We will also be learning about adjectives, cause and effect in stories and what a biography is.

Sentence: The girl got hurt when she fell.

February 13th-17th

Language Arts: This is review week in Treasures. We are going over everything we have learned over the past 5 weeks and will be taking our Unit Assessment on Thursday.

Spelling (sight word review): walked, eight, give, write, move, better, never, should, night, because, & or. Sentence: You should be my friend.

Math: We are taking our Topic 8 math test on Monday. We will be starting our next math topic on Tuesday, which focuses on addition and subtraction, money, and ordering numbers from least to greatest.
